The Doctor

Today was Chloe's second doctor appointment, what the naval hospital calls her "2 week well baby" appointment. She is really almost 4 weeks old (On monday). Could my darling child have been more of a nightmare?? Probably, but this little girl put on quite a show today. She arrived fine, happy, actually blabbing in the back seat the whole way. Finally take her out for the doc and bam, Chloe goes into an absolute meltdown. She is just crying about everything. It was almost embarassing if the other babies around werent doing the same thing. But to see my little sweet Chloe doing that made me so sad, i just wanted to pick her up. Cant wait till she gets her shots in a few weeks.. Not. :(
Just thought i'd share my frustration with little Chloe this morning.

Little Chloe updates:

I now weigh 7 pounds 5 ounces (i gained weight finally) and 20 inches long.
I am 3 weeks and 4 days old
Doc said i can soon be rolling over (within a few weeks, scary huh??) because i am progressing a little bit fast.
and i am a healthy girl. :)

As fussy as she gets its hard to look at her and get frusterated... She is just TOO DARN CUTE!!

Tired much?

I thought i had been tired before like in college staying up to either watch movies, study, do nothing.. etc. But now i know what tired is.. Our little Chloe fell asleep at about 9:15 last night, mom and dad stayed up talking and doing laundry finally going to bed at 10. Chloe woke up at about 2:30 am hungry, so i feed the little one. She cried and fussed all night till about 4:30 am this morning. Mom was not a happy camper, but i never once felt selfish. Not i was tired, not i wanted to go to bed. It was why are you crying? What do you need? Why arent you tired??? (Hahaha!) But she did finally settle down and went to bed, of course she was back up at 7 am. But she is a baby, she has needs.
And this after noon she is sleeping lots. She will be having good awake time before she goes to bed so she will sleep like.. well a baby! :) Just thought i'd blog about my first encounter with an all night baby.

Congraduation!!!

Yes people, my amazing husband and marine is finally graduated from his MOS school!! YAY!! And not to mention, he graduated at the top of his class! Very proud wife and baby we have here at home! He is now officially a fleet marine. Fleet marine meaning he now has a normal (in military sense) job, and he can come home every night to his little family. :) But.. He can now be deployed with his unit he is in, if they are needed. :( Makes me very very nervous to know that, but to be quite honest, i am not too worried about it. I think things have worked out the way that they have for a reason and it will continue that way. He did sign up for this after all, and with marrying him I might as well have signed that dotted line too. We took Chloe to his graduation today, first serious outing she has been on, and she did AWESOME! I think she is just a gift. I have been so lucky to get about 6 hours of sleep at night, and i can take naps throughout the day. She is just such a sleepy baby that i can reap the benefits, and she gives mommy some nice benefits. :) Just a quick update, dr. appointment coming up soon.

She is finally here!!!

Miss Chloe Jordan Easter finally arrived to this wonderful world on April 4, 2011 at 8:07 am. And here is her wonderful story of how she came to us. I had picked Jordan up for the weekend, friday we had a relaxing night together and it was so nice to have him home once again. Saturday we decided to spend home, together, relaxing... Until about noon-ish, i had felt my first set of contractions. They were getting so close and so intense Jordan and i decided to go into labor and delivery at the Naval Hospital to see what was going on. Doctor said i had not dialated enough to be in active labor. Jordan and i did stairs, walked around, did anything to try and set off labor.. Not much changed. We went home a little disappointed and now waiting anxiously to see if anything would happen that night. Sunday morning i woke up feeling like i should take a little time to do some stairs. So at about 11 am i did, few times up and down and i was running in the apartment telling Jordan i had peed my pants!!! Off we went to the hospital this time for real! At the hospital they did not need much time to tell me that it was my water that broke and i was being admitted. I believe this all happened on Sunday because it was about that time that my mom had landed in San Diego airport to be here for her birth (About 2 days before she was in New York celebrating Antons birth..Crazy!) After sitting in a hospital bed for over 10 hours with an IV and patosin, i was finally dialated enough to have my epidural. Not too long after recieving my epidural i had a rude awakening, i woke up to a nurse flipping me onto my belly telling me to get on my hands and knees with another nurse putting an oxygen mask on me. I was pretty much FREAKING OUT! I had no idea what was going on, was Chloe okay? Was i okay? I didnt know how to feel, all i could do was cry. They finally laid me on my side again and had me breath easier. Chloe's heart rate had gone down too far, because of the patosin and the epidural had calmed her down too. I knocked out pretty good after that and the next thing i knew i was being woken up to check my cervix about every 4 hours. They eventually turned on the lights and told me it was time to start pushing. My mind was saying 'YAY!!' my body was sayin 'I'm not feeling this too much..' After about 2-3 hours of pushing she was finally here!! I heard her little cry and all i could do was cry, tears of pure joy that she was finally here to stay. Jordan could not have been happier, to see his reaction to her coming out was the happiest i have ever seen him. It was a very sweet moment for the both of us. It was the longest night of my life, but it was also the most life changing, and wonderful nights of my life. We love little Chloe with every piece of our hearts. :)
